“Living Water” is a piece of art I created after several life changes experiences. Before creating this piece, I had gone through a series of trials in my life that included a seizure, family members coming close to death, and struggling as a freshman to fit into a worldly school. But throughout all, God remained present with me; Jesus was and is my hope and salvation.
After all that had taken place, I stumbled across a Bible verse; “But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” – John 4:14. This verse gave me hope for my future and inspiration for my art.
In the painting Jesus is talking to the Samaritan lady, revealing himself as the ling awaited Messiah. After that she went into town spreading His name, much like we should today. This piece of art is to give hope to others as it does me and spread the Lord’s word as He calls us to.
